Borno State governor, Babagana  Zulum, has commended  troops, Civilian Joint Taskforce, CJTF, vigilantes and hunters over the recent killing of a commander of the Islamic State of West African Province, ISWAP, Abu Fatima alongside two others in Aleru Village in Kukawa Local Government Area.

Governor Zulum gave the commendation during a familiarisation visit to some communities in Kulawa Local Government Area.

According to him, this visit to military formations in Baga, Kukawa and Cross Kauwa is to motivate  troops, CJTF, hunters and vigilantes, listen to them and see how challenges in the areas could be resolved.

“As part of my familiarisation tour to local government areas, I decided to move to some of the local government areas in the northern part of the state, especially Kukawa.

“I went there to see  troops, CJTF, hunters and vigilantes to motivate them and see how we can solve our problems, they did very well.”

Zulum added that recently, troops have done very well. You can remember that one of the senior ISWAP members and his two fighters were killed.

“Although recently, we lost some of our men, but they have done very well. We were there to commiserate with them and most importantly, strengthen their resilience. We have listened to them. I went to Kukawa, Baga and Cross Kauwa,” Zulum said.
