Zamfara Market Fire: 6 PDP Governors Donate N100m To Traders

Six PDP governors led by the Chairman PDP Governors’ Forum and Sokoto state Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has donated one hundred million naira to assists Tudun Wada market traders hat has lost goods worth millions of naira in the inferno in Zamfara State.

Governor Aminu Waziri has on Thursday alongside Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State, Nyeson Wike of Rivers State, Dariius Ishaku and Ahmad Fintiri of Taraba and Adamawa States to symphatise with the Governor Bello Muhammad over the incident while making the donation.

Tambuwal in his remarks described the incident as a decree from Allah which had to take place at the time it occurred.

He said, the visit was arranged much earlier when the incident occur but unforeseen circumstances took over.

He cautioned that the incident should not be politicized noting that when people of the state were being killed under the previous government, they did not play politics with it.

While promising to continue to work with Governor Bello Muhammad at all times, then announced the donation to the victims of the conflagration.

Also speaking, the governor of Rivers state, Nyeson Wike said “I can’t understand a party which declared Zamfara a no fly zone is coming to woo the governor it’s governor.

“Zamfara people should shine their eyes because God who gave Matawale the governor has not abandoned him.”

Wike described the APC’s N50 million donation earlier as a Greek gift while urging Governor Bello Muhammad not to receive the opposition again.

It would be recalled that the APC governors also led by the Chairman of the APC Governor’s Forum and governor of Kebbi state, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu in company of the National Chairman of the party were in the state for a similar visit.

In his response the Zamfara state Governor Bello Muhammad described the PDP Governor’s visit as timely adding that a crying child abandoned by his mother is likely to take food from a street beggar.
