Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress ,APC, has called on security agencies to call Gov. Dauda Lawal’s Senior Special Assistant on Broadcast Media, Mustafa Jafaru-Kaura, to order.
This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau yesterday by the State APC Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris.
He said,”The state APC Chairman, Tukur Danfulani, at the emergency State Working Committee meeting of the party, condemned the provocation by Mustapha Jafaru-Kaura against the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle.
“The state APC chapter condemns the lies peddled by the Jafaru-Kaura against the APC leaders in the state more especially, the Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle, on very sensitive issues which need to be investigated.
“The callousness of Jafaru-Kaura’s open insults, character assassination and direct abuse of APC leaders particularly Matawalle and the former Governor, now a Senator, Abdulaziz Yari, can no longer be tolerated.
“Therefore, the state APC chapter is calling on security operatives to call on governor’s media aide to order.
“Mustapha Jafaru Kaura must also prove and give details of the kidnapping allegations against Matawalle”.
Idris also recalled that during his administration, Matawalle’s government had provided immediate support to all banditry-affected communities.
According to him, the APC as a party is already taking action and urged the state party leaders not to interfere but allow justice take its full course.
Idris said”, We are calling on all our members and supporters to continue to remain calm believing that with these actions, justice will be done.
“The APC remains a strong political party in the state
“We will continue to checkmate the Peoples Democratic Party administration in the state up to 2027 where and when people of the state will vote them out”, he added.
