Youths from across the five local government areas that constitutes the western senatorial district of Nasarawa State have endorsed Engineer Abdullahi Sule for another round of four years in office as 2023 general elections draw nearer.

The over 2000 youths who marched in solidarity for the governor also indicated their strong interest on the ambition of Barrister Shuaibu Labaran Magaji.

Their positions were made known on Saturday in Keffi, when over 2,000 of the supporters of the said politicians  converged at the Emir of Keffi’s palace and embarked on road procession covering 2 kilometers.

Some residents of Keffi who expressed their views on the solidarity march for Governor Sule for a second term in office, also endorsed Barrister Labaran Magaji’s aspiration for Senate.

An onlooker, who spoke to our correspondent, averred that Barrister Magaji’s aspiration came at a time when the youths are yearning for a change that can balance the years of political imbalances, saying all local government areas within the zone had got their share accept Toto local government area where Barr. Magaji comes from.

“So it is a welcome development for the zone to have someone from Toto, which Barrister Shuaibu Labaran Magaji has express willingness to represent the zone. This will be the fairest political arithmetic as Keffi took its share from 2011 till date.”

Speaker Northern Youth Assembly, Honourable Ibrahim Lawal, said supporting the APC-led federal government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nasarawa State governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule becomes imperative, because of the role the government at the federal level has done in terms of security and also the governor who has restored peace and security, especially in Toto local government area by flushing out criminals.

Honourable Ibrahim further said Barrister Shuaibu Labaran Magaji has demonstrated high level of competency, drawing from his present occupation as the lead counsel in the office of the Attorney General of the Federation, calls for support from all in order for him to succeed in his quest to represent the good people of Nasarawa West senatorial district.

He added that “We have watched with nostalgia and keen interest hearing how he deliberated on critical cases in court, where the issue of banditry, piracy and other graved crime against the state, which he substantially made a difference in fighting.

“Therefore, with this background, we have over 200,000 youths with the will-power to vote for him to become our next senator in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, so we are calling on him to contest, in the event of failure from his path, we will drag him to court, which I believed he will not fail us”, he said.

Another supporter, Mailafiya Salisu, said they have long waited for a day like this where the Matawalen Toto campaign train will throw itself out for public attraction, saying the crop of representatives in Nasarawa State and the ones vying for the same position with Barrister Shuaibu Labaran Magaji, ought to be aware that the desire of the youths in Nasarawa western zone is solely gunning for him.

Earlier, a former House of Assembly member, Honourable Ibrahim Bala Moskolo, who led the teeming youths on the march for Engineer Abdullahi Sule and Barrister Labaran Magaji, paid homage to the Emir of Keffi, Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa 111 for his royal blessings before proceeding on the procession.
