Yobe Special Adviser Lauds Buni Over Road Construction, Others


Special Adviser to Governor of Yobe State on Water Resources, Hon Kachallah Mai Hassan, has commended Governor Hon Mai Mala Buni over his achievements in the area of road construction across the state.

Speaking to AljazirahNigeria over the weekend shortly after the commissioning of 600 units of locked-up shops and market stalls in Buni Yadi town, the headquarters of Gujba Local Government Area of the state.

According to him, “It is not an easy thing for a state with less IGR to embark on execution of developmental projects. My relationship with the governor is strengthened by his desire to work for his people.

He lamented that, “We will continue to support him to work for the happiness of the entire citizens of Yobe state. On behalf of myself and good people of Gujba, these road projects is a welcome development and will contribute in improving the living conditions of the affected beneficiaries,” he said.

He said Buni Yadi is one of the commercial nerves of Yobe State, pointing out that it will rejuvenate the economic status of the people of the area as well as create a conducive environment for the business community

He described the flagging off for the construction of the township roads across the state as an opportunity to demonstrate the readiness of Buni administration towards promoting the importance of infrastructural development in the state.

Kachalla said when the roads are completed, they will provide the needed accessibility in the towns and drain storm water which has been the main contributing factor to flooding in urban centres.

He also thanked the Governor for the monumental projects in the area which includes a complete renovation of General Hospital Buni Yadi, support to the security agencies, construction of clinics, modern market, schools, roads and drainages, culverts and boreholes in the state.

He also commended the government for the provision of democratic dividends to the people of the area, “On behalf of our people and community, we assure you of our unflinching support, loyalty and cooperation”, he said.
