Nigerian comedian and actor-turned-preacher, Woli Arole, has voiced concerns over the current state of the Nigerian gospel music industry.

In a recent Instagram post, he lamented the increasing levels of “hypocrisy, worldliness, and cabalism” within the sector.

Arole highlighted that invitations for ministrations are now often based on personal connections rather than spiritual guidance.

He also expressed difficulty in distinguishing between gospel music ministers and secular performers, suggesting that the lines between ministry and entertainment have become blurred.

His observations have sparked discussions among fans and industry stakeholders, prompting a broader conversation about the direction and authenticity of gospel music in Nigeria.
