Nigerian music sensations Wizkid and Davido have once again showcased the global appeal of Afrobeats with significant wins at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards.
Wizkid secured the award for Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (Contemporary) for his hit single “Piece of My Heart,” featuring American artist Brent Faiyaz. This track is part of his sixth studio album, Morayo, which has received widespread acclaim.
Davido was honored with the Outstanding International Song award for his collaboration with Chris Brown on the track “HMM.” This marks their second joint win at the NAACP Image Awards, following their previous success with the single “Sensational” in 2024.
The singers who have been on top of their game had a successful 2024 with various hit songs that yet again, proves that they are indeed masters of their craft.
With this laudable achievements, Nigeria undoubtedly maintains its giant role of exporting African Music to the world.
