Violent Crimes: FCT Police Boss Seeks Synergy With Sister Security Agencies, Communities

FCT Commissioner of Police, CP. Sadiq Idris Abubakar has called for synergy between the Police, sister security agencies and the communities for onward fight against violent crimes in the nation’s capital.

Abubakar made this known, Tuesday, when he led a confidence-building and assessment patrol to Gomba village and other communities in the Kuje Area Council of the FCT.

While addressing the team comprising of the Police, DSS, vigilantes, and the locals, CP Abubakar noted that the patrol was targeted at warding off criminal elements within the territory.

During his visit to palaces of the traditional rulers in the Area Council, the FCT Police boss listened to the various complaints of the residents and promised the creation of more outposts and the absorption of interested youths into the Community Policing programs in the area in order to augment intelligence gathering.

He assured residents of the territory of an improved security architecture tailored to fit various topographical and social mapping of the territory.

He enjoined residents to go about their lawful duties without fear or molestation from any quarters.
