From Owen Akenzua, Asaba
Tension has continued to grip residents of Ebu, Asaba, and other communities in Delta State, following the alleged murder of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s aide, Chief Shimite Bello, in the early hours of Monday.
It was gathered that Bello, also known as Shimite Love, was allegedly murdered by her husband for unverified reasons, while insiders alleged that she had inexplicable differences with him over her activities with the Alumni Association of the University of Ibadan, where shestudied Political Science.
Sources who spoke to journalists in Asaba alleged that her husband, Pastor David Favour Love murdered her during a fisticuff that ensued over her frequent inexplicable activities, particularly her connection with prominent men that earned her the soubriquet, ‘The White Eagle.’
Reacting to the purported arrest of Pastor Love, the police spokesman, SP Bright Edafe confirmed that he was arrested for investigation.
Edafe confirmed that the police had also arrested others alleged to have been mentioned, adding that the outcome of the investigation would be made known to the public.
Sources said Governor Oborevwori had vowed that those responsible for her death would never go unpunished.
