Stop The Violent Protest Now, AIG Zone 11 Command Warns Miscreants

The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) in charge of Zone XI Command Osogbo in Osun State, Akande Sikiru Kayode, has advised all parents and guardians to warn their children and wards against involvement in any forms of violent protest.
According to him, in a press statement issued and made available by the Zone 11 Command’s PPRO, SP Ayeni Benjamin, violence has never helped any nation and it is never a solution to the problem confronting our nation.
The AIG said, in view of the current situation in the country people should remain calm and go about their legitimate businesses saying the Zone will not allow further breakdown of law and order within its jurisdiction.
In the same vein, the Police ICT Departments said it is working and analysing all the video records that we have, therefore we would soon start clampdown on all criminals and miscreants who took advantage of the situation to break into Government and Private properties saying the Zone will not allow miscreants to take over the public space.
The AIG said, Commissioners of Police Oyo and Osun States are directed to activate their Criminal Intelligence Bureaus to start picking all the thugs and miscreants involved in the past violent protest.
“Also the Zone has activated its Political Desk headed by ACP Babatunde Adeniran to handle all political and election matters” the statement concluded.
