Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, KSA, authorities have announced that the 2025 “…Hajj Khutbah 1446 will be translated into 34 languages on Thursday, 9 Dhul Hijjah 1446”.
According to a post by the KSA authorities “The languages include Arabic, Urdu, English, French, Indonesian, Persian (Farsi), Hausa, Chinese (Mandarin), Russian, Bengali, Turkish, Malay (Bahasa Melayu) and Spanish.
Others are; Portuguese, Italian, German, Filipino (Tagalog), Amharic (Ethiopia), Bosnian, Hindi, Dutch, Thai, Malayalam, Swahili, Pashto, Tamil, Azerbaijani, Swedish, Uzbek, Albanian, Fulani (Fula), Somali, Rohingya, and Yoruba”.
The broadcast aims to convey Islam’s message of tolerance to a global audience in native languages, fostering better communication between Muslims and non-Muslims.
It would be recalled that the Kingdom had on May 27 announced the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah crescent, marking the June 5 to be the Day of Arafat, while Eid-el-Kabir falls on June 6.
