The Minister for humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Sadiya Umar Farouk, Chief Executive of BUA Group, AbdulSamad Isiyaka Rabi’u and five others were conferred with distinguished award of excellent by the Faculty of Humanities of Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano.

The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa in his speech, said the Faculty decided to award these important personalities  in recognition of their selfless services to humanity.

The Award was bestowed on the deserving recipients Monday during the University’s 2nd International Conference held at Professor Hafiz Abubakar Auditorium Kano.

Each of the awardees has in one way or the other contributed immensely to the development of their communities, their respective places and the nation at large which form the criteria that made the organizers of the award for the Institution fish them out and recognized them with the meritious Award.

The Secretary to the Zamfara state Government SSG, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe was among the seven other personalities that received the award.

Other personalities that were recognized for the university award are the Secretary to Zamfara state Government Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe  the wife of Kano state Governor Prof. Hafsah Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Sadiyya Umar Farouq Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

More personalities are Senator Ai’sha Dahiru Ahmed Binani, Senator representing Adamawa Central District, Alhaji Abdussamad Isyaka Rabiu CEO, BUA Group of Company, Prof. Shehu Ahmed Said Galadanci, former Nigerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Barrister Inuwa Ibrahim Waya GGM Shipping NNPC.
