Ramatu Aliyu Praises First Lady, Remi Tinubu On Doctorate Degree Award

Zinariyan Lokoja, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has lauded the wife of Nigeria’s president, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu on her conferment with a Doctorate Degree Award.

The First Lady was awarded the honourary degree on Saturday, 7 December 2024, by the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State, alongside other prominent Nigerian leaders for their contributions to society.

Dr Aliyu in a statement, said: “It is with immense joy and pride that I extend my warmest congratulations to our quintessential First Lady of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the Lioness of Bourdillon on your latest recognition.”

She emphasised that the degree was a testament to the first lady’s dedication, perseverance, and passion for excellence.

“I remain deeply inspired by your commitment and selfless efforts towards promoting education, healthcare, and economic empowerment, which have needless to say, positively impacted countless lives, and I am honoured to call you a champion of women’s advancement,” said Dr Aliyu.

She urged the president’s wife to use the achievement as a driver to further refuel her pursuit of excellence.

She therefore wished the First Lady success in her continuous effort to inspire other Nigerian women to follow in her bold footsteps.
