Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Housing, Women Affairs, Humanitarian Support Service and Girl Child Entrepreneur has invited members of the public and other critical stakeholders to a public hearing on the Delta State Domestic Staff Service Provider Registration Bill and Delta State Child Rights (Amendment) Bill, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 2, as from 12 noon at the Press Centre, State House of Assembly Complex, Okpanam Road, Asaba.
A statement by the Clerk of the committee, Mrs Esther Ezeocha-Ekwaju, revealed that the committee would welcome written and oral contributions from interested persons, organisations and Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, such as the ministry of women affairs and social development, ministry of humanitarian affairs, Community Support Services, and girl-child development, ministry of justice, ministry of education, ministry of youth development, Non-Governmental Organisations, NGOs, and the general public.
The statement informed stakeholders that all memoranda on both bills should be in 15 copies, enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Chairman of the Committee, Bridget Anyafulu, and marked“Delta State Domestic Staff Service Provider Registration Bill,” and“Delta State Child Rights Amendment Bill” respectively, and should reach the office of the chairman on, or before September 30.
