PRP Rejects Call To Merge With PDP In Kebbi

The guber candidate of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Alhaji Abubakar Udu Idris, has rejected the call for merger made by the PDP guber candidate, General Aminu Bande(rtd).

The two candidates were invited for debate or policy decuments unveiled by Kebbi state civil soceity forum prepatory to 2023 polls in the country.

Bande made the call while responding to questions from electorate at the occassion, which according to him, the former head of service is a brother to him and a man of unquestionable character with track records of selfless services to the state while in service, but the state is in dire need of rescue, therefore a merger with the PRP can wrestle power from the APC and save the state from collapse. 

“Before joining the guber race you wouldn’t have gone into it, I urged you to join hands with me by dropping your ambtion for us to work together to defeat the ruling APC in Kebbi, the General said.

Responding onbehalf of himself and the PRP Kebbi state, Idris told the gathering that his party is the oldest in the country and has the best manifestors and political ideology therefore will not collapse its structure into any party in the country.

He further said,  PRP is the only party that does not belong to any person and one needs no political godfarther to stand for elections “We have said it at different public fora that, we won’t mergre with any party.

PDP, PRP and SDP guber candidates who attended the occassion all pledged to give security,  education and autonomy for local governments in the state, while APC and NNPP guber candidates were absent.
