Ibrahim Owodunni, popularly known as Prime Boy and a close associate of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba (Mohbad), has initiated a N50 million defamation lawsuit against Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Adeola Oluniyi.

The lawsuit, filed on February 12, 2025, at the High Court of Lagos State in the Ikeja Judicial Division, centres on allegations that Abosede made “libelous, injurious, falsehood, and malicious statements” about Prime Boy during a video interview on March 28, 2024.

These statements were reportedly disseminated across various news and online platforms, purportedly damaging Prime Boy’s reputation.

The legal document asserts that Abosede’s remarks were intentionally crafted to defame Prime Boy in the perception of the public. Consequently, he is seeking N50 million in exemplary damages for the alleged defamation.

The court has mandated that Abosede respond to the lawsuit within 42 days of service; failure to do so may result in a judgment rendered in her absence.
