Nigerian Democratic Vanguard, NDV, a group of civil society organisations mobilising for good democratic practices and governance in Nigeria, has passed a vote of confidence on the chairman of Board of Trustee, BoT, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Adolphus Wabara, for not taking the oath of eloquent silence on national issues capable of derailing the democratic train of PDP to Presidential Villa come 2023.

Addressing a press conference yesterday in Abuja, national coordinator, Nigerian Democratic Movement, Dr. John Chukwuemeka noted that since his emergence as PDP BoT, Nwagbara had turned around the political fortunes of the party and had stop at nothing to ensure that the aggrieved G5 governors were reconciled while also ensured that the crisis did not affect the party’s political rising fortune nationwide.

“He has changed the trajectory of party politics in Nigeria and we have no option than to pass vote of confidence to this great political colossus who has remain a point of political motivation to many in Nigeria.

“Nigerian Democratic Vanguard appeals to the BoT chairman not to relent his effort in his commitment to make Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa president and vice president respectively come 2023, as doing that remains the best alternative for Nigerians to extricate from shackles and manacles of extreme poverty, insecurity and above all bad governance we will remain committed on our quest to mobilise Nigerians together better governance and democratic practices as we pray for Nigerians to join this political train for the betterment of majority.

“Finally, Nigerian democratic movement appeals to youth organisation, women groups to explore the time given for the collection of PVCs by INEC as that remains a patriotic move as towards the realisation of anticipated democratic change in not distant future,” Chukwuemeka said.
