Police Storm Kidnappers Hideout, Rescue Hostages In Nasarawa

Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force attached to Gitata Division in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State raided a kidnappers hideout and rescued at least three victims.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said the rescue followed information that a Volkswagen Sharon vehicle with three occupants travelling along Kaduna-Keffi highway was attacked and the victims whisked away to an unknown destination

The victims include Abdulsalam Shuaibu, Sani Shuaibu and Blessing Okorie.

The statement explained that upon receipt of the information, the Divisional Police Officer, SP Zaks Wambai, swiftly mobilised his men to the scene and combed the vicinity.

“Consequently, the kidnappers’ hideout was burst and they were dislodged, paving the way for the rescue of the victims unhurt.

“The Commissioner of Police, Shetima Mohammed, in a comment, lauded the officers for a job well done and urged them to sustain the onslaught against criminals,” the statement said.
