Police Arrest Suspected Phone Snatchers In Kano

Kano state police command has arrested and paraded the suspected mobile phone snachers that robbed people within Kano metropolis. 

Police public relations officer DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, made this available to the press at their headquater in Bompai, Kano.

 

He stated that a report was received that some hoodlums attacked one Muhammad Sulaiman, of Sharada Quarters, along  Yahaya Gusau Street Sharada in Kano.

The suspects stabbed the victim with a knife and robbed him his mobile phone. The victim was immediately rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano, where he was confirmed dead on the same date.

Similarly the hoodlum also attacked one Kingsley Sunday of Panshekara Quarters, Kano, whom they stabbed with a knife on his shoulder and forehead and took away his mobile phone.

The victim was also rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital Kano where he was treated and discharged. 
 

Upon receipt of the reports, the Kano state police commissioner  CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko,  raised and instructed teams of detectives led by SP Suleiman Ibrahim to arrest the culprits.

The team swiftly swung into action, and following credible intelligence, arrested, Hussaini Malami, seventeen years old, Harisu Manniru, twenty  years old, and Hussaini Abubakar, nineteen years old, all of Zawaciki Quarters, Kumbotso local government area of Kano state.

 A knife with blood stain and the handset of one of the victims were recovered from them.

On preliminary investigation, the suspects confessed to have conspired and attacked Kingsley Sunday, stabbed him on his shoulder and forehead, and made away with his mobile phone. The suspects are given useful information. 

The Commissioner of Police ordered that, the case be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Command for discreet investigation, after which suspects will be charged to court for prosecution.
