Police Arrest Native Doctor, Relative of Kidnap Victim In Benue

Benue State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of more suspects in connection with the kidnap of Mr Emmanuel Yaji  in Tsar Mbaduku, Vandeikya Local Government Area. 

Yaji is the Chairman of Kunav Development Association, KUDA, the community association of Governor Hyacinth Alia.

The  Police Commissioner, Hassan Yabanet, who confirmed the arrest in a statement, said the other suspects were apprehended through detailed investigation. 

The commissioner, in a statement on Thursday by the  Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sewuese Anene, said the arrested suspects include Teryima Yajo, a relative of the victim and mastermind of the kidnap.

According to him, Yaji also confessed to have kidnapped his relative to make more money, while Terna Sule, a native doctor who prepared the gang for the operation and led them, was also arrested.

Yabanet  revealed that the suspects would soon be charged to court as investigation is completed.
