From Richard Akintade, Osogbo
Member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Oluwole Oke yesterday resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Hon Oke, a sixth-term lawmaker said in his resignation letter made available to newsmen in Osogbo the Osun State capital, that he concluded to leave the PDP after the consultation with his political associates, friends, constituents as well as family members.
His resignation letter, which was sighted by our Correspondent was dated, April 16, 2025 and addressed to the State PDP Chairman, his Ward 7 Chairman in Obokun local government area of Osun State, etc.
Our Correspondent, gathered from reliable source who spoke under the condition of anonymity that, Hon Oke resigned because the PDP has turned itself to a single family affair, appointment skewed to only one side in which his Constituency, Ijesha North has been marginalised completely in the scheme of things.
“Hon Oke is leaving for lack of infrastructural development in his Federal Constituency by the incumbent administration, lack of inclusiveness and transparency and a winner takes it all altitude and a toxic environment where the Governor is now an Emperor who has pocketed the entire party”, our Correspondent gathered.
