Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Paul Ohonbamu has assured that resources allocated to projects and programmes by Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration will be judiciously deployed for the good of citizens of the state.
Ohonbamu, who gave the assurance in a statement in Benin City, noted that Governor Okpebholo is poised to ensure that projects embarked upon by government is completed and of immense benefit to citizens.
According to him, the transformative blueprint for Edo State Development, Project SHINE, which stands for Security, Health Care, Infrastructure, Natural Resources and Food Sufficiency and Education will be executed to impact the people positively.
He stated that the governor is not interested in having a blueprint on paper, but transforming it into projects and programmes that Edo citizens can see, like the Ramat Park fly over and others across the state,” he added.
He stated that Edo people are no longer going to have a government that claims to have spent billions on flood and erosion control for eight years and the problems still persist.
“The question that Edo people are asking is what happened to the huge resources allocated to stop the problem of flooding for eight years?
He added that the Okpebholo administration will not allow the people to continue to suffer this hardship because the resources allocated for the project will be judiciously deployed.
