Okowa Gets Commendation For Ensuring Teachers Training In Delta State

Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, has been commended for ensuring the recent training of teachers across the state. 

The Director General/Coordinator of the Teachers Professional Development Centre at Owa-Oyibu, Dr Anthony Dibashi, gave the  commendation during the opening ceremony of the training, organised for teachers in Delta Central and Delta South Senatorial districts of the state at the Government House Annex in Warri on Monday.

Dr Dibashi also reassured the teachers that TPDC had come to stay, reiterating that the training would continue to go round.

Declaring the training open, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Delta State Chapter, Comrade Titus Okotie, advised the teachers to take the training serious, stressing that ” the training will be a prerequisite for grading of teachers during promotions.”

The training which hinged on “Technology and ICT in Education” also featured five modules including:l Computer Appreciation and Applications, Internet, Teaching in Digital Learning Environments and Use of Electronic Gadgets, Innovative Instructional Skills and Multigrade Teaching Method.
