Ogun Assembly Lauds LG For Executing  Housing Projects

Ogun State House of Assembly has commended the management of Abeokuta North Local Government for executing low and medium-cost housing projects in the  area.

Charman of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Jemili Akingbade gave the commendation during an oversight visit to the council secretariat on Monday.

Akingbade lauded the council chairman, Mr Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo, for undertaking the projects which he said are in line with Governor Dapo Abiodun’s agenda.

The lawmaker explained that the council leadership had also adhered to due process in the execution of grassroots developmental programmes and projects.

He described the project as highly beneficial to the people and a testament to good governance.

“I want to charge the council to sustain its focus on people-oriented programmes and projects with total compliance with statutory guidelines in project execution.

“The projects will significantly improve the lives of residents and serve as a hallmark of responsive governance,” he said.

The  chairman also emphasised the importance of extending development to all communities and wards within the local government area, as well as ensuring effective staff engagement to enhance service delivery.

Responding, Oyegbola-Sodipo reaffirmed his commitment to the implementation of the present administration’s agenda.

He expressed resolve to replicate his developmental strides across the four communities and 16 wards of the local government and improve staff welfare to boost productivity.
