National Orientation Agency, NOA, has restated its commitment to the advancment of the rights of children.
The Director of the agency in Jigawa State, Malam Tijjani Ahmad, said this in a statement yesterday in Dutse, to commemorate the 2025 Children’s Day.
The theme of the day is: “Enhance the Total Wellbeing of the Child Through Quality Education and Skills Development.”
He said for children to grow as members of the society, all hands must be on deck to advance their rights to life, quality education, protection and health.
Ahmad said the agency on Sunday paid a visit to the Catholic Church, Birnin Kudu, as part of activities to commemorate the day.
The statement quoted the Chairperson, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Maurice Hassan, as commending the agency’s renewed approach to engage citizens toward nation building.
She described children as ‘future leaders,’ stressing that they need all the support, morally and spiritually to grow as good leaders and good followers. (NAN)
