The full list of nominees for the 2025 BET Awards was unveiled on Thursday, with Nigerian Afrobeats artistes earning notable recognition on the global stage.
Ayra Starr leads the Nigerian nominees with three major nominations: Best Female R\&B/Pop Artiste, Best New Artiste, and Best International Act. Tems earned two nods in the BET Her category for her uplifting songs Burning and Hold On.
Rema, Burna Boy, and Shallipopi were also acknowledged, with Burna Boy up for Best Male Hip-Hop Artiste, Rema nominated for Best International Act, and Shallipopi in the running for Best New International Act.
At the top of the nomination chart is American rap legend Kendrick Lamar, who secured 10 nominations. He is followed by Drake, Future, Doechii, and GloRilla, each with six nominations.
The winners will be revealed during the live ceremony set for June 9 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, which will be aired on BET.
