Niger State government is to spend over $2 billion to establish a modern poultry farm at Bosso, headquarters of Bosso Local Government Area, just as a general hospital will also be constructed.
Governor Umar Bago stated this yesterday while on a statewide tour to Bosso.
The governor said the poultry farm will enable the people to engage in modern poultry farming, while the construction of a new general hospital is part of his priorities to enhance availability of quality health care delivery.
He explained that his government will also ensure the speedy completion of all projects he embarked upon in the state, particularly Bosso due to its proximity to the state capital.
He explained that the ongoing roads project linking Garatu to Maikunkele, Beji to Minna and that of Beji to Minna will be in three lanes with solar lights to beautify the area.
Bago assuared the people that compensation will be paid to those whose houses were earmarked for demolition and urged them to give government the needed support to enhance the devidends of democracy.
“Government will also engage in the rehabilitation of schools, as well as construction of a new bridge from Bosso Secretariat to ease the movement of vehicles”.
In his remarks, the Senator representing Niger East, Sani Musa lauded the governor for embarking on various meaningful projects to make Niger a new commercial hub for economic development.
In their separate remarks, the Chiarman of Bosso Local Government, Hajiya Ladidi Rakiya and Abubakar Suliaman, the member representing Bosso in the House of Assembly, as well as Yusuf Kure lauded the various projects embarked upon by the governor in the area.
