NHRC Records Over 2000 Cases of Violations — Ojukwu

Tony Ojukwu, the Executive secretary of the Commission disclosed this on Monday, during the 2025 budget defence before the Committee on human rights and judiciary Committee in the Senate.

According to the Executive secretary, some of the challenges facing the Commission range from variations in utility bills.

“From the 1.something Millon Naira, the commission now pay over 5 million naira electricity bill monthly”

“Partly 8,000 is spent on investigating cases of violation which is not enough.”
