New NCRI Mgt Meets Minister Over Takeoff

To ensure proper takeoff of the National Cereal Research Institute, NCRI, Baddegi in Niger State, the new management met the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Aliyu Sabi to fine tune the  prospects of the institute.

Executive Director of the institute, Dr Mohammed Ishaq alongside the Secretary of Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria, ARCN, Professor  Garba Sharbutu called for a symbiotic relationship amongst staff of the institute.

A statement from the office of the executive director said the minister stressed the need for stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and drive innovative research, so as to enable the food security agenda of President Bola Tinubu to succeed. 

According to the minister, the meeting marks the beginning of a new era for deliberate collaboration and knowledge sharing between NCRI and other research institutes, in collaboration with the ministry and ARCN to achieve the desired objective of President Tinubu’s economic agenda on food security.
