Yobe State, Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has graciously approved lifting of the curfew imposed on Potiskum, Gashua and Nguru loca government with immediate effect.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Brigadier General, Dahiru Abdulsalam (rtd) said the decision to lift the curfew by Governor Buni was based on the return of normalcy in the security situation in the three towns.
“Security agencies are enjoined to remain vigilant and ensure maintenance of law and order in the three towns and the state generally.
“The Security agencies should also ensure that no space is given to hoodlums, miscreants and other criminals to perpetrate any act of lawlessness as a result of the lift of the curfew.
He added that “Consequently, law abiding citizens are requested to continue with their lawful activities and report any suspicious movement, activity or persons to relevant law enforcement or security agencies.
