Nasarawa State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has assured the people of the state of the houses’s readiness to initiate more bills that would result in the execution of more developmental projects.
The Speaker made the pledge when the people of Eggon from Ekye Development Area paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Lafia, yesterday.
Jatau also called on the Eggon people and other citizens of the state to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
This, the Speaker said, would enable them and other people of the state to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Jatau said that Sule was doing well and needed the support of all the ethnic groups in the state.
” Gov. Abdullahi Sule cannot do it alone, he needs our support and cooperation.
” Let’s continue to pray and support him to succeed.
” I want to assure you of my leadership’s readiness to pass bills and resolutions that will bring speedy development to the state”, he said.
The Speaker urged them to continue to support their representative in the state, Mr Musa Ibrahim, representing Doma South Constituency to succeed beyond 2027.
ln his remarks, Mr Esson Mairiga, member, representing Lafia North Constituency and Mr John Dizaho, member, representing Karu/Gitata Constituency, commended Ibrahim for his all-inclusive leadership.
On his part, Ibrahim appreciated Eggon people for supporting him to succeed.
Ibrahim pledged continued quality representation at the state legislature.
Earlier, leader of the delegation and Chairman, Eggon Cultural and Development Association ,ECDA, Ekye Development Area, Mr Bitrus Amos, said the visit was to congratulate and appreciate the speaker for the good work he was doing.
He appreciated the speaker for synergizsng effectively with the executive for the development of the state.
Amos thanked Ibrahim for the construction of bridges in their area and the distribution of motorcycles to their people, among other things.
The ECDA chairman, however, appealed to the Speaker to use his good office to ensure the inclusion of their area in the planned creation of chiefdoms in the State.
