Nasarawa Lawmaker Distributes N40m Worth Empowerment Items To Constituents

A member of the Nasarawa State’s House of Assembly representing Keffi West constituency, Hon.  Ibrahim Nana has splashed gift items worth 40 million Naira to his constituents as part of his constituency project and empowerment so as to boost their socio-economic wellbeing on Sunday  in Keffi.

The items distributed included 50 motorcycles, 45 grinding machines as well as eight electric generators, sewing machines and cash to the Instructors of skills acquisition programmes where over 100 women were trained in various skills acquisition programmes with aim at making the self employed and self reliant.

Speaking during the occasion, the special guest of honour and the Nasarawa Western Zone Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Architect Shehu Tukur, described the gesture as heart-warning and encouraging especially that it is coming from the representative of the people which indicates that he always have the interest of his constituents at heart and is ready to support them to enhance their socio-economic wellbeing.

The APC Chieftain who described the gesture as a clear demonstration of his party’s commitments or mantra to always give back to the people, tasked the lawmaker not to relent in putting the welfare and general interest of his constituents at the front burner with a view to continue to earn and sustain their confidence and support.

While congratulating Hon. Nana for what he described as giant stride in making his constituents feels his impact significantly, the Nasarawa West Zonel Chairman urged him to always strive to remain populist so as to remain relevant and be accepted by his constituents whenever he demanded for their support and also be ready to always hit the ground running. and also task others to emulate him.

In his remarks, the Nasarawa State’s Commissioner for works, Housing and Transport Engineer Idris Mohammed Idris expressed his happiness with what he described as the remarkable and people’s oriented efforts of the lawmaker which he believed would go a long way in impacting positively on the lives of his constituents and therefore urged him not to relent in that regards.

Idris who was a two terms Chairman of Keffi Local Government Council therefore congratulated the lawmaker for having the good mind to support his constituents and then urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of all what they were given and continue to support him in returns because “to whom much is giving much is expected”.

Contributing, the Keffi Local Government Chairman, Hon. Muhammad Baba Shehu congratulated the lawmaker for what he described as people’s based approached that is geared towards enhancing their socio-economic status and urged him to continue in that pedestal so as to sustain the support and confidence of  his constituents.

Shehu who also described the gesture as what is in line with his administration policy mantra to always put the general interest and welfare above everything, assured that he would soon also unveil some projects that would impact positively on the lives of the people in the area.

The Chairman who assured the lawmaker and all other political office holders in the area of synergy toward enhancing the people’s welfare and socio-economic upliftment, solicited for more support and co-operations to the lawmaker.

Earlier in his remarks, the lawmaker Hon. Aliyu Ibrahim Nana stated that the gesture was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to his constituents adding that this one is in line with the series of others he has already done before and would continue to do it to the best of his abilities.

The lawmaker who expressed his gratitude to his constituents for what he described as their encouraging support and co-operations and therefore solicited for more of such to enable him to do more.

To the beneficiaries, the lawmaker urged them to make the best use of all what they were given and to those that were unable to get they should be patience and wait for the next distribution since the exercise is in continues one.
