Nasarawa Assembly Gets New Clerk, Deputy

Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has approved the appointment of Mr Ibrahim Musa as the substantive Clerk of the House.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Dr Danladi Jatau announced the appointment during the House proceedings in Lafia yesterday.

The News Agency of Nigeria ,NAN, reports that brahim Musa was the Acting Clerk of the House from Dec. 6, 2023 during the ill health of the late Clerk, Ego Abashe, who died on March 1, 2025.

The Speaker also announced Mr Paul Okugya as the Deputy Clerk of the House.

Before Okuggya’s appointment as Deputy Clerk, he was Director of Protocol of the Assembly.

The Speaker congratulated them on their new elevations.

Jatau wished them well in their new assignments just as he directed members to observe a minute silence in honour of the late Clerk, Mr Ego Abashe.
