Nasarawa Assembly Extols Sule’s Achievements In Education Sector

Nasarawa State House of Assembly has lauded Governor Abdullahi Sule’s developmental strides towards improving the standard of education. 

Chairman of the House Committee on Education, Mr Abel Bala gave the commendation Thursday when the managements of Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, and Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute appeared before the committee on their first quarter 2025 budget assessment.

Bala noted that the administration’s investment in education deserves commendation.

He said the speaker of the House had directed all standing committees to embark on first quarter oversight of all ministries, departments and agencies.

“We are happy with your performance, you have done well in the first quarter.

“We call on you to continue with the good work you are doing and  improve  the standard of education in your institutions. 

“Governor  Sule has done so much in education, especially in higher institutions by providing physical infrastructure, learning materials and good learning environment,” he said.

The lawmaker urged the various institutions management to continue to adhere strictly to their budgetary provisions.

He assured them of the committee’s support to succeed in carrying out their responsibilities.

Earlier, the Acting Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia, Dr Ibrahim Dauda  appreciated the committee for its support to the institution and called for its sustenance for the development of the school.

On his part, the Executive Director of Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute, Dr Daniel Ewuga appealed for the committee’s support to overcome the challenges of insufficient workshop in the institute.

He assured of the institute’s commitment to train youths in vocational and technological programmes.

Also, the Rector of the College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Dr Musa Maikefi  commended the committee’s assistance towards creating  an enabling environment for teaching and learning in the college.
