Ministry Of Education Launches EdoCert 2.0

In a move to modernise education administration and enhance the academic experience for learners,  Edo State Ministry of Education has launched EdoCert 2.0, a cutting-edge digital platform for certificate and report card generation and verification. 

EdoCert 2.0, a key component of  DiCert digital public infrastructure platform, is designed to streamline the issuance of academic certificates, significantly improve operational efficiency while reducing administrative costs.

This innovative solution, supported by  Gates Foundation, is set to redefine how students across Edo State access and authenticate their academic credentials. 

The initiative aligns with the five-point agenda of Governor Monday Okpebholo, which include education at its core for the improvement of the quality of life of the  people of Edo State. 

During the launching, the  Commissioner for Education, Dr Paddy  Iyamu said the innovation was a demonstration of the new government’s commitment to leverage technology and digital innovation to improve service delivery. 

In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of Data Science Nigeria,  Bill and Melinda Gates implementing partner in the state, Dr Olubayo Adekanmbi expressed excitement about the possibilities of DiCert which he said would enable citizens to easily access basic services like academic credentialing.
