Onetime Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has emerged as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, at the union’s Quadrennial Delegate Conference in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
The election was held at the weekend monitored and observed by the acting National President of the NURTW, Aliyu Issa-Ore.
Represented by the Head of Finance, National Headquarters, Abuja, Adedamola Salam, said the South-West zone has fully complied with the constitution in electing MC Oluomo as the President.
The delegates also elected Tajudeen Agbede as NURTW Vice President, Southwest, and Akeem Adeosun, as trustee from the zone.
Speaking after taking oath of office, MC Oluomo, who was also re-elected as the Lagos chairman of the NURTW for a second term in office in December 2023, urged the union members to allow peace reign and reiterated his commitment to unity in the union.
