Popular Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has called for more empathy and less sensationalism when addressing issues of broken marriages.

Speaking in a recent interview, the comedian emphasized the need for society to support individuals going through marital struggles instead of making their private lives a topic of public ridicule.

AY pointed out that the media and social platforms often amplify personal challenges, adding unnecessary pressure to those involved. “Marriage is a personal journey, and people need time and space to process their situations. The public should be more compassionate instead of exploiting these issues for entertainment,” he said.

He also acknowledged that no marriage is perfect and urged couples to prioritize resolving conflicts away from the spotlight.

The comedian’s comments come amidst growing attention on celebrity divorces in Nigeria.

Fans and followers have applauded AY for his mature stance, with many echoing his call for a more sensitive approach to conversations around marital challenges.
