LPPC Shortlists 98 Lawyers, Professors For Elevation

Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee, LPPC, has shortlisted 98 senior lawyers and professors of law for elevation to the rank of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, SAN. 

Among the names shortlisted are former Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, National Officers, Monday Onyekachi Ubani, Kunle Edun, Dr Rapulu Nduka and Stanley Imo. 

Also shortlisted is the Chairman of NBA Bwari Branch, Paul Daudu and notable Abuja based human rights lawyer, Terkaa Jeremiah Aondo.

Others on the list are Lateef Olaseinde Karim, Godwin Tagbo Ike, Johnson Odionu, Nnodim Marcellinus Duru, Innocent Adams Ovbagbedia, and Soronnadi and Anthony Njoku.

Others are Adamu Abubakar, Charles Oyaole Musa, Udochi Nunny Iheanacho, David Dare Onietan, Elele Chinatu Casmir, and Josiah Rapuluchuks Nduka.

The list signed by Hajo Sarki Bello, Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria/Secretary Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee Federal Judiciary, also named Godwin Ikechukwu Obeta, Habeeb Orisavia Ilavbare, Moses Kolade Obafemi, Mathew Echezonam Esonanjor and Baba Fika Dalah, among others .

Also, shortlisted as academic applicants are 11 professors including John Alewo Agbonika, Osy Ezechukwunyere Nwebo, Nlerum Sunday Okogbule, Nnamdi Onyeka Obiaraeri, Nathaniel Ahagbue Inegbedion, Collins Chijioke Obioma and Violet Aigbokhaevbo 

Others from the academics are Professors Augustine Robert Agom, Ibrahim Abdulqadir Abikan, Chima Josephat Ubanyionwu and Adeyemi Oke.

The statement explained that the general public is hereby invited to comment on the integrity, reputation and competence of the above-listed applicants.

“Every complaint(s) must be accompanied by a verifying affidavit deposed to by the author before a Superior Court of Record in Nigeria or before a Notary Public and be in 20 copies.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the publication of the names of the shortlisted applicants is not an indication of their success in the process”, the statement said.
