Lockdown: FCT In Full Compliance

There was full compliance by the FCT residents over the directive of Federal government on lockdown of the city for the period of 14 days.

 

To this end workers with the essential duties who have no means of transportation were seen stranded at several junctions in the city while people who have the car cannot carry them because of the fear of security at the every nook and crannies of the city. 

It will be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari In a special broadcast on Sunday in Abuja when he addressed the nation on COVID-19 pronounced the total lock down of FCT, Lagos and Ogun state as means of curbing the spead of pandemic Coronavirus that is ravaging the country and the world. 

Also, as at Tuesday afternoon, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed four new cases of the coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday.
According to NCDC, Nigeria has 135 confirmed cases and 2 deaths.
The breakdown of cases by states in real time below; Lagos- 81 FCT- 25 Ogun- 4 Enugu- 2 Ekiti- 1 Oyo- 8 Edo- 2 Bauchi- 2 Osun-5 Rivers-1 Benue- 1 Kaduna. 
In a short trip by the AljazirahNigeria on Tuesday revealed that there was total compliance by the residents of the city. 
AljazirahNigeria visited ever busy and hustling area like Apo Bridge, Popular Area one roundabouts, Julius Barger bridge, popular Wuse Market, federal secretariat amongst other reports that apart from securities personnel and the worker with essential needs no residents was found moving up and down. 
However, the presence of security personnel at every available junctions is second to none and they were Seen thoroughly checking every moving vehicle.
