New management Board of Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi has resolved to do everything possible to ensure that the club secure a continental ticket,expressing determination to rise above challenges this season.
Making the resolution during an emergency Board meeting held Wednesday at the SEMA headquarters in Makurdi, the Board of Lobi Stars FC unanimously reaffirmed their unwavering commitment and dedication to the future success of the club.
The resolutions contained in a statement by Media Director of the club, Emmanuel Uja, said with the trust bestowed upon it by the governor, members would ensure the teams success, expressing their determination to uphold the confidence.
Board members during the emergency meeting pledged to provide steadfast support to the technical crew without interference in their operations to maintain clarity.
Members equally set a clear target for the Head Coach, challenging him to win the next five matches, emphasizing that such an achievement would secure the club’s chances for a continental engagement.
The Board in the statement promised to prioritize the welfare of both players and officials, as well as discussed plans to clear outstanding salary arrears, as a means of motivating players for them to remain dedicative.
The new management also resolved to recruit a sports psychologist as a way of boosting the club’s performance as well as enhancing the team’s mental resilience and on- field focus.
Additionally as part of motivation, a member of the Board who is also the Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, James Iorpuu, announced a donation of fifty 25kg bags of rice for the players and officials as incentives and a symbol of the club’s shared commitment to welfare for them to remain focused to succeed.
Responding the Head Coach, Engine Agagbe, promised to give his all, by embracing the challenges with commitment for the club to realize its dream.
