Lobi Stars FC Sensitize Players On Laws Governing 2022/23 NPFL Season

Ahead Lobi Stars FC first match Sunday at Jos township stadium, the Dominic Iorfa led management has put together a seminar to equip players with the necessary rules and regulations guiding the 2022/23 NPFL soccer season.

Declaring the seminar held at the McCarthy Stadium open, Vice Chairman and chief executive officer of the club Dominic Iorfa explained that the essence of the seminar is to keep the players abreast with the laws of the game for them to function better during the season.

Chief instructor for the seminar a referee of Nigerian professional football league Mr Iyorhe Ephraim in a speech emphasized the need for players to play the game according to the laws as stated by the law 12 of the game, as well as avoid misconduct behaviour such as retaliation, excessive tackles and abusive language capable of compelling referees to sanction the players.

Responding on behalf of players, team captain David Atsaka, expressed appreciation to Mr Iorfa led management for creating an enabling environment for them to be equipped with the laws of the game and assured management that players would show discipline.

Mr Iorfa was during the occasion presented with award of excellence for outstanding performance that was given to him by social media summit digest last week where he was represented by the director media and publicity of the club Mr Emmanuel Uja.

In an exhortation while dedicating the club to God, priest of Catholic Diocese of Gboko and spiritual director of the club Reverend Father Emmanuel Asue prayed for a favoured season devoid of injuries.

The cleric who said there was every need for the club to thank God for last season, assured management and staff of the club with God on their side the club will have a better season this year.
