Head coach, Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, Eugene Agagbe, has been relieved of his position as Chief Coach of the club with immediate effect.
A statement by the club’s Head of Media, Emmanuel Uja on Sunday in Makurdi, said decision of the major shakeup followed the Board’s review of Agagbe’s failure to meet a five-match win target which he managed only one victory while losing three.
In his place Uja said the Board has appointed former Super Eagles coach, Daniel Amokachi, as the new Technical Adviser of the club.
The head of media Lobi Stars FC also explained that with Amokachi’s appointment which also takes immediate effect,management is optimistic that with his coming on board, the club will revitalize its strategy and improve performance on the field.
He also revealed in the statement that all backroom staff have been equally relieved of their duties and instructed to reapply if they wish to continue with the club.
Uja also announced that the board has asked those affected by this shakeup to hand over all club property in their possession to the club’s secretary immediately.
