LG Chairmen, 963 APC Members Dump Party For NNPP  In Kano

New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has welcomed no fewer than 963 supporters to the ruling party in the state members of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Dala Local Government Area, Kano State

The National Leader of the party, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, yesterday in Kano welcomed the defectors led by the chairman of the LGA, Alhaji Sabiu Bala.

The defectors, which also included the immediate past councillors and their supporters from 12 wards, cited selfless leadership by Gov. Abba Yusuf as the reason for their defection.

They lauded Yusuf’s exemplary leadership in providing democracy dividends in the state.

“We decided to join this people’s house with over 963 from 12 wards of Dala LGA’’, Bala said.

The defectors pledged to work together towards winning the October 26 local government elections.

Welcoming the new members Sen. Kwankwaso reassured them of equity and justice in the NNPP.

He said the NNPP was committed to salvaging the country in 2027, to pave the way for  the nations socioeconomic growth.

Kwankwaso urged the NNPP supporters to come out en masse and cast their votes for the party in the upcoming local government elections.

He said that the party had embraced inclusivity and growth, urging Kano residents and Nigerians to join forces in driving the country forward.

“NNPP aims to foster a sense of unity and shared purpose, recognising that collective effort is key to achieving meaningful progress”, he said.
