From Ibrahim Goronyo, Sokoto
Spiritual leader of the Muslim Ummah, Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar 111 has praised Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State for giving his deputy free rein to manage state affairs when he is away.
The Sultan believes that this leadership style is worth emulating, as it showcases Governor Aliyu’s trust in his deputy’s ability to deliver results.
A statement by the Director of Press to the deputy governor, Garba Muhammad said the Sultan commended Governor Aliyu for believing in his deputy’s capabilities, highlighting the importance of teamwork in leadership.
He advised the state government to keep citizens informed about critical issues affecting them, which can help prevent unnecessary rumors and promote trust.
While acknowledging efforts to tackle insecurity, the Sultan calls for more action, citing the negative impact of insecurity on socio-economic development.
As the 20th Sultan of Sokoto, Abubakar III holds significant influence as the spiritual leader of Nigeria’s Muslim community. His endorsement of Governor Aliyu’s leadership style carries weight, and his concerns about insecurity reflect the broader challenges facing the nation.
