Lagos Guber Asprant Back Okada Ban

An aspirant for the Lagos state gubernatorial  election under the platform of the  African Democratic Congress, ADC,  Chief Funso Doherty  has hailed the Lagos state government over the ban of the motorcycle mode of transportation popularly known as Okada in the state .

Chief Funso  who said that the state need a leadership that will put the interest of the people first described  Lagos state leadership in the past 25 years as self serving and serving the interest of one individual which according to him is unacceptable . 

The governorship hopeful was  speaking yesterday at the party’s national secretariat, Abuja while returning his expression of interest and nomination form to contest for the party’s gubernatorial ticket.

He said it was unfortunate for the motorcycle riders to have  taken over the transportation system, blaming it on the poor transport system in the state, adding that if elected he will address the transportation challenge been faced by the state.

“I am supporting that ban whether is temporary or permanent , we have to institute public order  and ensure that citizens are not subjected to threat, i am supporting that ban and we will look at how we will handle the solution and how to manage the gap created”

Unfolding his blue print , Funso who said his government will be transformational  promised to restructure the economy of Lagos by creating infrastructural environment for large business to thrive and ease of doing business.

“We don’t need a whole sale restructuring , what we need is government incentive, easy of doing business better and supportive government”
