The last may have not been heard about German manager Bruno Labbadia’s link with the Super Eagles’ coaching position.

Contractual talks between Labbadia and the Nigeria Football Federation NFF had collapsed earlier this month, despite the latter announcing the German as the next Super Eagles’ manager.

From the look of things, Labbadia may have sorted out those issues with the NFF as suggested by the latest post on his Instagram page where he wrote “New Chapter” accompanied by a Nigerian flag.

He was to lead the Super Eagles in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda before the NFF announced that talks broke down over who would be responsible for the payment of his taxes in Nigeria and Germany.

In his absence, NFF Technical Director Augustine Eguavoen handled the team to a 3-0 win over Cheetahs of Benin Republic in Uyo and drew goalless against Rwanda in Kigali.

Up next for the Eagles is a double-header against Libya’s Mediterranean Knights next month in continuation of the AFCON qualifying series.
