Killings: Delta Police Reiterate Commitment To Bringing Perpetrators To Justice

Delta State Police Command at the weekend reiterated it commitment to fishing out perpetrators of killings currently on going in the state, especially those perpetrated against policemen.

The police Commissioner in the state, Ari Muhammad Ali who spoke with our Aljazirah Nigeria in Asaba while reacting to the killings of several policemen in the state, assured that the police will do everything possible to arrest those behind the nefarious activities, adding that the killing of a policeman at Edjeba quarters in Warri, was seriously being investigated as those behind the nefarious act will not go unpunished.

While decrying the incessant killings of police personnel in the state, Ari Muhammad Ali vowed that the perpetrators would soon be napped and reaffirmed his commitment to the safety of Personnel serving in the state.

He said: “We have intensified our own internal security strategies and network aimed at curbing the Increasing spate of insecurity in the state’

Just recently, we initiated permeant pin down checkpoints in some areas in the state, especially at flashpoints in the state”, urging members of the public to always assist the police with useful information that would lead to the arrest of suspected cultists or other criminal elements operating in the state.

Meanwhile, gunmen at the weekend have abducted a business man in Sapele town after he was allegedly forced into their moving vehicle.

The victim identified as Kenneth Akaboo who was abducted at his business premises around Itsekiri road area of Sapele.

This is coming barely four days after a pregnant Lawyer, Nkiriru Agbasa was allegedly shot dead along Sapele Warri road in a failed Kidnap attempt.

Sources said that the Kidnappers trailed the victim to his office and kidnapped him after sporadic shootings.

It was gathered that four armed men took him away. but the Police Commissioner in the state, Ari Muhammad Ali confirmed that efforts were ongoing with a view to ensuring his release unhurt from the Kidnappers’ den adding that the police have been drafted to the area in search of the hoodlums
