Katsina State government has signed a multi-billion naira mineral exploration contract with Geoscan, a renowned German geo-exploration company, to conduct detailed mineral resource investigation within the state.

Governor Dikko Radda, represented by the Chairman of Katsina State Mining and Exploration Company, KEMCO, Alhaji Umar Dangi and the Managing Director of KEMCO, Bello Doro signed the contract with the company’s representatives in Berlin, Germany.

Dangi emphasised that the partnership would help in generating revenue and create employment opportunities for local communities.

He added that Geoscan’s proven track record, including previous collaboration with Esoterra Investment Group for lithium and critical mineral exploration in Nigeria, attest to the project’s credibility and potential for success.

“Geoscan’s expertise in sustainable exploration methods which has zero environmental impact and carbon footprint will also be invaluable for this project,” Dangi said.
