Katsina police burst another notorious syndicate of armed robbers

Katsina police command has burst yet another notorious gang of kidnappers and succeeded in arresting the duo of one Aliyu Mohammed, 38yrs of Sarki Avenue, Kurmin Mashi, Kaduna state and Jamilu Tijjani, 30yrs of Karshen Waya, Gyadi-Gyadii  quarters, Kano state.

The suspects according to the state commissioner of police, Sunusi Buba, Tuesday, revealed that they were members of a notorious syndicate of armed robbers terrorizing Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), and its environs. 

 The Command, according to Buba, received a distress call that armed robbers numbering seven, with sophisticated weapons have attacked the residence of one Hon. Umaru Abdullahi Zimbo, a member of Federal House of Representatives, representing Kangiwa Federal Constituency and took away his Toyota Prado Jeep with registration number ABC79GC. 

 The hoodlums also made away with household items that include electronics and laptop computers.

The commissioner explained that in the course of investigation, the Toyota Prado Jeep with plate number HMHR267A  and a Jammer (Anti-Tracking device) was recovered in the possession of the hoodlums. 

 Buba said the Suspects confessed to the crime while investigation was ongoing with a view to arresting other members of the syndicate.
