ISWAP Terrorists Burn Hospital, Gov’t College In Borno

Suspected members of the Islamic State of West African Province, ISWAP, have on Wednesday morning attacked Damboa Town of Borno, in North East of Nigeria.

A security source who confirmed the attack to AljazirahNigeria, said the suspected  attackers stormed the town at about 1:00am today, parked their motorcycles behind the trench dug around the town and moved in on their foot,’ the source said.

Source added that they burnt parts of a primary health centre aside the town and parts of
Technical Girls College, Damboa.

A Civilian JTF, Member who did not mention his name told our correspondent via telephone that two of their members sustained injuries from gun shots.

According to our investigation, the terrorist controlled the axis, but the Nigerian Army acted swiftly and cleared some of the terrorists enclaves such as Wajiroko.

One of the community leaders who told AljazirahNigeria, Before the clearance operation, the terrorists concentrated in Wajiroko, Sabon Gari, Talala, Kirariya, Dalmusa, Duk, Manguzum, Shettima Abbau, Kirariya, Yetchari, Farin Ruwa, Abba Gajiri, Kwanguro and Kafa and Dusula

Even though some of these locations were cleared in the ongoing Operation Desert Sanity, the terrorists still roam about in the axis, causing troubles to civilian population.

Our reporter learnt that the Damboa General Axis has over the years become notorious for harboring suspected members of Boko Haram and ISWAP.
